If you wish to do this, please note it at the end of this sheet. Unspent XP carries over, so you can save it up for a big purchase.

You can spend XP to improv an existing Ability. It costs as many XP as the next level you want to go to. You may buy a new Ability, or Raise a STAT, but that costs 3 Additional XP. Buying off a Handicap costs as many XP as the level you are buying off. Double all costs for Hard Abilities. You are limited to three upgrades for each BGA Period

Do not use this part of the BGA Form to join Secret Societies! Joining a Secret Society will cost 5 XP, but the opportunity to do that will be in a later part of this form.

Secret Societies

It costs 5 XP to join a secret society and advancing is a Hard Ability. Secret Societies gain you all sorts of bennies including items and information, though. However, in order to join or improve, you have to have GM approval. What you are putting down here is any attempts to join or advance. You get one attempt per BGA. If you do not succeed, then the XP are refunded.

Note: Please feel free to communicate in-character with each others and to players of cast characters. All I ask is that you cc the letters to Mike Young. Cast players should feel free to answer in character; if you have any questions, ask me first.

Research

You may research up to three topics per BGA Session. We have your STATs and know your Contacts and Resources, so you don't have to tell us where or how you are researching something. If we have questions, we'll ask. We are trying to save on information overload on our end. Sending us the phrase, "I am researching the Mask of Death I got at the auction," will provide you more information than a five page explanation of what you are doing in detail. And you can ask for additional information or clarification when you get your results back.

You will always get something back on a research attempt, even if it is, "The Library knows nothing about this. You need to contact an esoteric society to get more information."

Research also includes detective work, trailing individuals, getting family histories, and the like. It's ok to be specific this instance. If you just put, for example, "Robert Jones," we won't know if you're researching his past, looking into his current activities, or actively trailing him.
