Information

Lullaby of Broadway: Into the Woods is the third and final episode in the Lullaby of Broadway trilogy. Join us as we explore the mystical, magical, mythological side of Broadway.

This may be your last chance to play in a big, full weekend, Mike Young production!

Our third episode, Into The Woods, will be held on the weekend of October 15-17, 2010 at the Hagerstown Hotel and Convention Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Play characters from such famous musicals as:

  • A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
  • Camelot
  • Godspell
  • Into the Woods
  • Jesus Christ Superstar
  • Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
  • Once Upon a Mattress
  • Man of La Mancha
  • Peter Pan
  • Pippin
  • Spamalot
  • The Fantasticks
  • The Wiz
  • Wicked
  • Note that the selection of musicals and characters has not been finalized and musicals may be added or dropped from the list above.

While everyone will have the opportunity to sing and dance and perform on stage, it isn't mandatory. But still, strap on your shoes, put on your costume, and get ready for a game that is sure to be a toe tapping good time!

    How Much Does It Cost?

Lullaby of Broadway is using the most complex pricing scheme I have ever attempted in a LARP. The base cost for an episode of Lullaby of Broadway is $100. That’s a bit steep for a weekend long game, although we do plan to have a buffet on Saturday night. However, in a real sense, the base cost is really $50, which is a good price for a weekend long game. You have to do some work and earn Service Credits to get the good price.

I am hoping to increase player buy-in by introducing a set of Service Credits. By helping to create props and scenery, set, take down, or do other administrative and logistical tasks, you can save money on the game.

You can see a complete list of Service Credits here (pops). More may be added as the situation warrents. And, best of all, some Service Credits carry over, meaning that if you earn more than $75 in Service Credits, you can carry over some of them to the next episode.

So, you are considered confirmed for Lullaby of Broadway once you pay the $50 downpayment. The rest will be due at or before the game. We'll send a list of Service Credits earned and your balance before the game, and you can always check that information here at the database.

Official Refund Policy: You may have your $50 refunded at any time until character sheets have been written (most likely the middle of August, 2010). There will be no refunds of deposits once the character sheets have been written.

However, if you need to drop after character sheets have been written, you may get a refund for your character if you can find us a replacement player.
